Welcome to Block Party Quilts!
At Block Party Quilts, we believe that creativity knows no boundaries. We are a vibrant community dedicated to the art of quilting and fostering a sense of togetherness. As you explore our website, allow me to share a little bit about myself and the journey that brought us here.
From an early age, I developed a deep passion for arts and crafts. This love for creativity led me to pursue a formal education in design, where I honed my skills and cultivated a keen eye for aesthetics. Throughout my adult life, I immersed myself in the world of graphic design and technical writing, channeling my artistic energy into these endeavors. Meanwhile, sewing and quilting remained my cherished hobbies, providing an ongoing source of inspiration.
However, in 2014, I found myself at a crossroads when I faced a career transition. It was during this time that my husband encouraged me to explore longarm quilting as a business venture. With his unwavering belief in my abilities, I took a leap of faith and invested in my first longarm quilting machine. Thus, Block Party Quilts was born.
Drawing upon my background in graphic design, I developed a quilting style that resonated with the quilting community. My customer's creations began to receive recognition and accolades and my business flourished.
But, life has a way of presenting challenges, and these past few years have been particularly trying. In 2020, I experienced the heartbreaking loss of my husband, compounded by the isolating effects of the pandemic. It was during this time of grief and introspection that a deep longing for connection and community began to emerge within me.
So, in honor of my late husband and by the grace of God, Block Party Quilts has now evolved into a physical space—a brick and mortar location where like-minded individuals can come together. At Block Party Quilts, we strive to be more than just a store. We are a sanctuary, a place where you can immerse yourself in the world of quilting, surrounded by fellow enthusiasts who share your passion. Whether you're a seasoned quilter or a curious beginner, our creative community warmly welcomes you.
Join us for workshops, classes, and events designed to ignite your imagination and expand your skills. Connect with kindred spirits who are ready to share their knowledge, stories, and laughter. Together, let's weave the threads of creativity, friendship, and support.
If sewing and creating quilts aren't your particular passion, but you desire to gift a quilt to someone special in your life, we would be delighted to have a conversation about your project and work together with you to bring it to life.
If you have quilt tops awaiting the quilting stage, we are happy to offer our services using our state-of-the-art Gammill Longarm Quilting Machines.
Alternatively, we can also guide and teach you how to operate these machines, empowering you to quilt your projects independently!
I am genuinely excited to meet you and share this wonderful journey at Block Party Quilts. Your presence will enrich our community and inspire us all. I eagerly await the opportunity to welcome you through our doors.
See you soon!
